    I'm Scottish and watch millions of True Crime from all around the world, and while I often feel bad and empathise with victims and their relatives that are left behind, there's still a slight detachment. But this episode has really made me feel so sickened, but also feel a real hatred for that woman, Martia, and I don't believe for a minute that her partner, Judy, wasn't more involved than her younger, more dominant partner made her out to be.
    My heart goes out to Jack, especially a great man who fought for his country, lived practically off-grid, and had no need for all the material crap that people have been conditioned into believing equals status in life, something I admire greatly.
    I got Aileen Wuornos vibes when she was describing shooting Jack, then describing using the chainsaw on him, except, I actually feel bad for what happened to her to become a monster. This woman is just a stone cold killer and a psychopath.
    I hope Jack's in a far better place than this shark infested world.

    I saw this story told very differently where the 2 women went to the area, picked Jack to start fleecing hi. Of all his goods including his life. It was terrifying. Not like this presentation which is laborious.

    What a horrible pair of opportunists .im pretty sure Judy was an equal participant in the murder. Also i think they scammed others too. This can't be just a one off. They seem so practiced and non challant about it

    What terrible women. I think Judy knew more but wouldn't say. Not only did they kill Jack and steal his money, but they tried to tarnish his reputation by saying he was homophobic towards them and was harassing them and none of it was true. So sad.

    I bet many say the same or feel similarly when there is a gun in possession.
    We can judge/condemn people all we want but having a gun as a back up plan...people must mull over using it even if they do not..

    And then what seems like a perfect opportunity/reason/excuse comes along.....

    Life's continuous struggle can seem like a drag if a gun can be used as a shortcut..

    Why did they cut Judy a deal in exchange for her testimony, when they already had a full confession? They didn't need her to convict Marcia. Maybe she didn't confess to the arson and fraud portion ?

    Not sure why Jack would give two STRANGERS power of attorney?! … He may have thought they were nice honest people from the short time he’d known them … But seriously !.. That was a very irresponsible move for sure .. He may not have had any family but he certainly had many good friends up on the mtn who I’m sure he could have trusted much more that those two broads/sociopaths!! … RIP Jack .. They got the B**ch who took you down with your own weapon and destroyed the place you called home for many years !.. At least you can have peace about the fact that she will die in prison for her heinous deeds !
