  7. I flew The Budget

Eurowings Business class? Does a Business Class on a budget airline make sense? Well in this video I find out! What do you think of Low-cost carriers offering a business or premium class?

I don't mind Eurowings but that is NOT a Business Class. I was on Skyscanner the other day and they were offering well priced "Business Class" to Dubai from Berlin much much cheaper than Qatar and Turkish, but the experience is not the same. If you didn't read the seat dimensions you could be VERY disappointed. Also, their "budget" credentials are suspect, often their parent Lufthansa is much cheaper to fly EDI to BER via Frankfurt than Eurowings via CGN, DUS or STR. Don't really know what they offer the passenger in the Lufthansa group.

The Lufthansa cost for economy from
Düsseldorf to Arlanda
is for 05 November (one month's time from today) is today priced at more
than your business class ticket

That puts it in perspective a little bit.

I always rate Eurowings very highly in any class of travel. I use them frequently between EDI and CGN or DUS to visit German friends. Personally I find the Biz Class good value and I like being able to earn and redeem Miles & More points.

Hello Dom, great flight report and Eurowings (EW) must be considered one of if not the best low-cost carriers within Europe. Mind you being backed by Lufthansa Group that is obvious (although not sure if it makes a profit). Point is that EW has to offer business class because LH mainline only operates international flights from its twin hubs and, as I am sure you know, there are many important companies whose executives use Germany's regional airports. Another factor to consider is that EW acts as a transfer airline for other Star members who may travel either Y or J class (on the long-haul flight to a German regional airport).

Just passed through CGN on Thursday for a FR flight to Stansted. £60 one way with speedy boarding . We had lounge with Amex plat in the non Schengen area . Very nice with good views of the apron . Being a Fifer I would never buy a coffee prior to going into the lounge !

Empty middle seat? Priority check in and boarding? Extra leg room seats? Lounge access ? Extra bags? 70euuro ? Bargain...

TBH €70 isn't bad for an extra legroom seat, priority check-in, priority security, lounge access, early boarding and free onboard catering. It might be too much for most folk but there are others that would see it as a good deal.

Another very interesting video Dom. It’s a pity we didn’t get to see the quality of the Biz class in flight meal service, but totally understand that crew safety takes priority and reassuring to hear that it was.

Not a bad deal IMO!
Decent seat, decent lounge (the food there would save you spending a tonne in the airport eateries) plus the onboard catering is a nice touch

big props to the crew for rattling out the service promptly once the turbulence passed!

Was the middle seat closed off in Bizz class or could you have someone next to you?

With the fast track, lounge access and (presumably) a blocked middle seat I think it could just about be worth the 70 Euros? Especially given more relaxed carry-on bag restrictions too.

You also got the Priority Line at Security and the Linge access. If you did NOT get the Lounge access, how much would a day pass admission into the lounge cost? Because if you add the Lounge Access plus the Standard (Non BizClass) flight with extra leg room would thge cost of the Flight Ticket and the Lounge pass be of a higher value than what you paid for the BizClass?

Another great video! If you would usually go for an extra legroom seat and the lounge access etc. then it may be worth it. Just a shame we didn't get to see what the hot food was like, but safety comes first.

I'll tell you what, you won't find a business class upgrade from economy for 70 euros anywhere else. BC is usually triple economy. You weren't even expecting lounge access, but you got it.

A great review and a great price in my view.
