    Buying the property will at the minimum give you place to launch future adventures from. You would have a safe place to keep stuff and would always have Nate and Jen and the other neighbors around to keep an eye on stuff.

    Doesn't take much land to give you a home base. Good neighbors helps alot. Forever home is hard, my property sucks, but could still have a decent garden, and 6 chickens, basically in the city.

    Buy that land and use it as a "HomeBase" spot, where you can store everything. While you go on adventures to Alaska or where ever.

    Buy other property with road access. You'll have no value without access specially for re sale. Take your money and actually buy a few acres of flatter ground land is super cheap in wv

    You could work out a deal to buy the house and then sell it when your ready you could just live in it like the old days except you could have electric and water

    Dont bave the bath abouve a fire pit instead, get an old metal dust bin aboive a fire pit, connect some plumping fixtues to the bottom off the bin and then plumb a pipe from the bin to the taps on the bath.

    Man you’re such an inspiration! I think buying land out there weather it’s from Nate or not is a great idea for you. Nate has nothing but the best intentions for you and being around him is awesome! Will survives no matter what but like you said it’s cheap out there and a great location to get started!     I think buying the property is a great idea. It would be yours to do what you want. You could build a real cabin and work something out for a right of way as far as the road goes.

    You should buy land where you’re at. Maybe it’s not the same as New Mexico or Alaska for survival per se but you look happier and like you actually enjoy what you’re doing.
