Ive watched it twice now 6 mths apart, absolutely effing brilliant, left me shaking each time, as it runs very deep for me as a gay man, would I save humanity after the shit Ive put up with from the hetero world, I dont think I would be so forgiving, its a realy good exploration of psychology with a nod to something greater than myself.

I really disliked this film, but Dave Bautista's performance was practically Oscar worthy! 🌈

I tend to really enjoy M. Knight's movies. This one doesn't disappoint.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the movie, The Visit. Also an M. Knight Shamalamalaman movie. Underrated but very good...I promise.

Hope you two are well and sending some rain showers from your favorite green state.😉💚

Happy Movie Saturday, David and Marc! 😊

Great reaction you two!

This is one movie that I had yet to see, but haven't gotten around to seeing it. Until now.

So this was a first time watch for me as well. And I really enjoyed this movie. I had forgotten that Dave Bautista was in it.

Some other Dave Bautista movies that I highly recommend: "Dune: Part 1"(2021), "Dune: Part 2"(2024), "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery"(2022), and even though he's not in it the first "Knives Out"(2019) because it's a great film.

Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

M.Night Shama - I can't even spell that-, he is such a good story teller.
I think people tend to pigeon hole him as being horror when I think it's more like Hitchcock. He like psychology and that good storytelling element that keeps you on the edge of your seat- being creeper out by what might be going bump in the night. The right mix of funny, real/relatable, and unsettling.
I bet he tells his kids great bedtime stories.

Forgive the typos. I am too lazy to go inside for my glasses.

Interesting choice! I also enjoyed this movie (definitely not more than Sixth Sense, y'all were crazy with that one 😂). A lot of people were not a fan of this movie, but since I hadn't read the book first, I liked it. I can understand why those who did read it first were unsatisfied since the ending was changed a bit, but hey. Ignorance is bliss! Haha. Also good job Marc, with the early horsemen prediction!

Sixth Sense- the scene with Toni Collette in the car always makes me cry- is a great, perfectly crafted movie.
Aided by no expectation at the time. But it is great storytelling.
In my opinion.

Imagine that, two out gay actors portraying a gay married couple in a movie! Perfect choice for PRIDE month.🏳‍🌈 Really David, did you (& Marc) not know the story or characters involved. Jonathan Groff has been nominated 3 times for a Tony Award (including this year.) Definitely Google his performance at Broadway's "Miscast" benefit. You can find it online as, Jonathan Groff Channels His Inner Sutton Foster to Perform "Anything Goes." Ben Aldridge is an English actor who just came out in 2020 and also appeared with Jim Parsons in the movie Spoiler Alert(2022.) Happy Pride, fellas!

Wait, there's more! I should have said: First watch Sutton Foster perform the number with the Broadway cast. Find it online as, Anything Goes - 65th Annual Tony Awards. 🌈 I had never seen an actress in that role (Reno Sweeney) take that active a part in the dance number, usually she sings a few bars and falls back and lets the dance ensemble do their thing and then joins in near the end to belt out the finish. Sutton stays dances thru the number and still belts out the finally. What stamina and lung power.

Not to be crass, but this movie fuuuucked me up! Woof.

BUT I HAVE TRIVIA!!!! So this movie is set just outside Philadelphia, in NEW JERSEY! My hooome! The cabin is deep in the woods of the Pine Barrens off of route 70 which goes east-west across central NJ (and is where the Jersey Devil is said to live). When the dad and Wen pull out and drive towards Philly at the end, 1, you cannot see the Philly skyline from there, at all lol, and 2, they stop at The Dairy Bar! I have driven that road to and from Philly hundreds of times in my life so even though the movie messed me up I got so excited to see that landmark featured in the film. But I do want to stress you absolutely can’t see the Philadelphia skyline from there, lol

I did read the book first but I still really liked the movie even with the changes they made. The movie ended with hope, where the book did.. not really and was even more ambiguous. I may or may not have thrown it across the room at one point lol and never could decide if I loved or hated it. It sure sat with me for days though. Loved your guys’ reaction to the film, made me tear up! Did you react to Signs on the channel, or you’ve just seen it before? I think that one might be my personal M Knight favorite, although, yeah, sixth sense is also way up there.

The Sixth Sense was particularly great at the time it was released because no one was familiar with Shyamalan's style.

Wassup? Been a while for me. Loved the movie and I didn’t realize it was based on a book. I’ll have to read that one. It’s beautifully filmed and written . I figured early on that they were the “four horseman” in the Bible. Lookin forward to M Nights new movie in August “Trap”.
