    I just watched this. I think it was fine, but pretty dull overall. I think Bautista is a very good actor (I’ve been following him since his WWE run and he was a good in-ring storyteller as well) and he adds a lot of life into this movie. As a gay man, I can be very picky about gay characters in movies, so I was annoyed at the movie constantly pointing out their sexuality during the first 20 mins because I thought it wouldn’t be relevant to the plot, but it turns out it was hugely important to it, so I give them a pass there. Obviously they wanted them to somewhat resemble a hetero couple by having one be the more impulsive hot tempered one (dressed in a plain shirt and shorts with heavy boots) while the other was the more nurturing, careful one (dressed in a bathrobe)…I’ll be heavily criticized on this but we simply cannot have only gay actors portray gay characters on screen because there were moments where the Andrew character needed to bring aggression and intimidation and he couldn’t pull it off. Some gay men can and some gay men can’t. The actor playing Eric has pulled that off in the past very well. We can’t constantly have people playing “themselves” in movies because we will have the same interpretations of characters over and over again. I would love to see what this film would have been like if Bautista was in the Andrew role. He would have nailed it. At the end of the day, the absurdity of Old was just a little more interesting to me.

    M. Night Shamalamadingdong is hit and miss for me. Some of his movies I love, some just aren't for me. But I've been pretty excited about this one!

    Yeah I like cabin movies too, because of the isolated location usually those movie can go nuts.
