Knock at the Cabin Review – YMS

In my local cinema we have something called the sneak preview. So you see an random unreleased movie the special thing is that you're supposed to scream funny stuff and make the whole cinema laugh. There even are inside joke which the whole cinema knows.

This movie was played last week.

This movie was one of the rather better ones because it left a lot of space to shout funny stuff.
I would never have watched this out of this setting though.

Spoiler warning answering some of Adam's critiques;
-The three characters having to decide who dies is implemented when Wen asks Andrew, after he enters the tree house, if daddy Eric (Derek, dadumtis) saved the world. With her leaving them and saying goodbye to Eric it is more or less implied she won't see him again and accepting his sacrifice.
-It was hours, not days, regarding the death toll in the ICU.
Not a terrible movie but not great either. Was expecting something like Old or some other M. Night fever dream when sitting down in the theatre.

The only thing I got is that Dave Bautista is actually a good actor and I am happy for him and his growth as an actor

I knew this movie was going to be bad. Thank you for watching it so I don't have to.

two hours they said, not days. but yeah, this movie was kinda flat. I liked Bautista though.

M. is great at setting up a premise annnnnnd going nowhere with it. He’s the worst kind of filmmaker because he gets you hyped up, or used to, for something terrifying but it just goes straight up his a$$.

And he manages to always…ok, often get amazing actors to work with him. But he just wastes their talent on his smarmy nonsense.

The Village was his first betrayal for me. When that Jim Henson-looking costumed figure crossed the screen it was like…oh. Oh. 😒 This is gonna suck.
